Bont Gin is London Dry or Llundain Sych (in Welsh),
London Dry is simply a dry style of gin, clear and unsweetened. It is named so because historically most of the distillers making this type of gin were based in London, so bottled their products as “London Dry Gin” and the name stuck.
Bont Gin of course isn’t made in London, nowhere near in fact. Bont is a small batch gin, handcrafted in our micro-distillery and bar in South Wales.
However, because “London Dry” is a quality designation, any gin using the term must conform to certain rules. It has to be made by distilling natural botanicals using a base neutral alcohol of 96% ABV and nothing can be added after the distillation process - no flavourings, no syrups, no further botanicals, only water.
Only the best incredients
Bont is made using only 8 botanicals. These are carefully blended together using our secret recipe. We work closely with selected importers to source only the finest quality and never compromise.

OUR PROCESS
We truly believe in the value of maximising the human touch and craftsmanship at every stage of the process of making Bont Gin.
We never outsource any part of the production process; everything from our maceration, distillation, bottling, labelling and sampling (our favourite bit) is all done in house, never by anyone else. We even use our own demineralised Welsh water to bring Bont Gin down to the desired 40%
All of this means we can ensure everything is of the highest standard and in turn, by purchasing a bottle of Bont Gin or ordering a glass of it at your favourite bar/restaurant means you really are supporting local.
CAREFULLY CRAFTED
BATCHES
From start to finish, Bont Gin takes a minimum of 3 days to create, we never rush and always trust the patience required when combining the art of distilling with the science of distillation.
Each and every single bottle of Bont Gin is hand filled, sealed and labelled, then batch numbered and dated by hand. Here lies the only element that we can’t ensure is of the highest quality… our hand writing!
